Trivia

  • Prior to version 1.2, Xenogen used Shelgon's cry.

Design origin

Xenogen is based on the Chestburster, the third stage of a xenomorph's life cycle

Name origin

Xenogen originates from the word xenomorph, in reference to Ridley Scott's Alien movie franchise. Xeno may also derive from the prefix "xeno-", which is generally used in taxonomic names to denote strangeness. The "gen" part of the name comes from genetics.
