Sand Stream is an ability introduced in Generation III. So far, 3 Pokémon have this ability.

Effect

In battle

Sand Stream creates a sandstorm when the bearer enters battle. The effect lasts 5 turns (8 if holding a Smooth Rock), unless it is cleared via Cloud Nine or replaced by another weather condition.

If multiple Pokémon with weather-generating abilities (Sand Stream, Drizzle, Drought, Chernobyl, Stormbringer, or Snow Warning) enter the field on the same turn, each weather condition will activate consecutively, fastest Pokémon first, so the lasting weather condition will be that of the slowest Pokémon.

Outside of battle

Sand Stream has no effect outside of battle.
