Trivia

  • Luxelong uses Serperior's cry
  • The evolutionary requirements for the Luxi line are nearly identical to those of the Budew line, the only difference being that the Luxi line does not require a certain time of day.

Design origin

Luxelong appears to be inspired by Falkor the Luck Dragon from the film The Neverending Story. It also likely draws inspiration from Maneki neko (招き猫), the Japanese lucky cat figurines, and may be based on the concept of fairy dragons, small dragons with fairy-like qualities.

Name origin

Luxelong is a combination of lucky or possibly luxury and long (Chinese for "dragon") or elongate.
