Adam is an Elite Trainer first met in the Lanthanite Core.

In the game

Adam approaches the player in the Lanthanite Core, recognizing them from their victory at the Tandor Championship. Adam explains that he has conquered the Johto and Kanto Championships himself, and expresses his envy that the player got to see the Legendary Pokémon Actan. However, Adam is certain he will have an opportunity of his own-he believes the inscriptions in front of him depict the Brothers of Metal, and that Lanthan resides nearby. Adam declares that since both he and the player are strong players hoping to find Lanthan, they'll team up to explore the Lanthanite Core, and then hold a battle to decide who gets to battle Lanthan for a chance to capture it.

• Adam is one of four characters possessing a Pokémon not listed in the Tandor PokéDex, the others being a ranger met in Vinoville Town who possesses a Staraptor, a nurse in Bealbeach City who possesses a Blissey, and Dr. Fennel in Tsukinami Village, then in Venesi City, who owns a Musharna.
  • Adam is also one of the only two to be named, and the only one capable of Mega Evolving his Pokémon.
