Connecting locations
Location Location of Route 16 in East Tandor .
Route 16 - Mt. Lanthanite is a mountainous route in East Tandor connecting Silverport Town to Snowbank Town .
Route Description [ ]
It's a steep climb up Mt. Lanthanite from Silverport Town . It's common to feel dizzy and sick from the sudden change in altitude and the thin air, even for those who frequently travel between Silverport Town and Snowbank Town . With the exception of a day or two during the summer, the peak of Mt. Lanthanite is always covered with a carpet of ice and snow, and while the route is well-maintained, brutal wind, constant hail, and slippery ice make the route extremely dangerous. It's common for the snow to pile up to waist-height. If you hear the creepy howl of the avalanche siren off in the distance, you better slip into a cave or crevice in the mountainside and hope you don't get trapped inside.
Places of Interest [ ]
The cave at the north point of the route holds a waterfall that leads to the Lanthanite Core . Navigating through the cave leads to the Legendary Pokémon Lanthan .

Trivia [ ]
The background music is Ruby/Sapphire's Abandoned Ship and OR/AS's Mirage Areas theme.
The Dragon Trainer name "Dovak" is likely a reference to the "Dovahkiin" or "Dragonborn" from the Elder Scrolls series.
The 2nd Dragon Trainer Kim's dialogue is the same as Dragon Tamer Dovak's from Route 13 when first challenged and when defeating them in battle.
Ace Trainer Conca's Gararewl has Body Slam and Earthquake instead of Iron Head and Head Smash .
Ace Trainer Tuskar's Snowpach has only 3 moves: Rock Slide , Ice Beam , and Ice Punch (which it cannot learn) instead of Chip Away , Ancient Power , Hail , and Avalanche and his Fafurr has Dragon Pulse instead of Dragon Tail .
Dragon Tamer Kim's (both trainers) Fafurrs have the same moves as above, his Barand has Dragon Rush instead of Force Palm , their Tractons have Discharge instead of Slam , and their Terlards have Dragon Rush instead of Dual Chop .
Ace Trainer Rylai's Baariette has Foul Play instead of Revenge .
Ace Trainder Kili's Alpico has Mamoswine 's lv52 Gen VI moveset (Mist , Earthquake , and Blizzard ) instead of Chip Away, Icicle Crash , and Agility .
