Prior to the 1.0.1 patch, there was a glitch allowing the corrupted Nuclear version of Actan to be caught. This form is Nuclear/Steel, with the moves Inferno, Nuclear Slash, Iron Defense, and Metal Cruncher.
Prior to the 1.2.0 patch, it could still be caught but was removed from the player's possession directly afterwards.
With the 1.2.0 patch, Nuclear Actan was made uncatchable.
If Nuclear Actan is encountered in Randomizer mode, it cannot be captured.
Nuclear Actan is the only Pokémon to be doubly resistant to Nuclear-type moves.
It is also the only dual-type Nuclear Pokémon that has Nuclear as its primary type.
Have you seen all the bugs in Tandor? Give me a call if you find any new ones!
Using an escape rope to leave the Actanite Core after the player catches Actan allegedly may have resulted in the dark area around building interiors to be replaced by lava in early versions of the game. Click here for more info on known bugs.
Design Origin[]
Name Origin[]
Actan's name is likely derived from actinide. The actinide series is a grouping of 15 radioactive elements on the periodic table. It could also come from actinium, the element for which the actinide series is named.
