The evolutionary requirements for the Luxi line are nearly identical to those of the Budew line, the only difference being that the Luxi line does not require a certain time of day.
For the 2018 Lunar New Year (starting Feb 15), Luxi, Luxor, and Luxelong got new skins.
Luxi, Luxor, and Luxelong are one of only two 3-stage evolution lines whose catch rate stays the same at all stages, with the other being the Chicoatl line. However, the Luxi line lacks any Pokemon capable of being caught in the wild by the player.
Luxi, Luxor, and Luxelong are the only members of a 3-stage evolution line (not counting Megas) that can become fully evolved by Level 2.
Design Origin[]
Luxi appears to be inspired by Falkor the Luck Dragon from the film The Neverending Story. It also draws inspiration from Maneki-neko (招き猫), the Japanese lucky cat figurines, and may be based on the concept of fairy dragons, small dragons with fairy-like qualities. It was also mildly inspired by corgis.
Name Origin[]
Luxi is a corruption of lucky. It may also stem from luxury.
