• Fafninter has the highest Base Stat Total out of every Pokémon in Pokémon Uranium, excluding Pseudo-legendary Pokémon, Legendary Pokémon, and Mega-Evolved Pokémon.
• Prior to a 1.2.4 minor patch, Fafninter used Zweilous' cry
• Fafninter has the highest Base Experience yield of any non-Legendary or Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon in Uranium.
• Fafurr and Fafninter are the only Dragon-Type Pokemon (both in Uranium and the official games) that can resist Ice-Type moves due to their typing coupled with Thick Fat or, albeit only protecting against physical Ice moves, Fur Coat.

Design Origin

Fafninter may draw inspiration from Fafnir, a figure from Norse Mythology whose greed transformed him into a dragon.

Name Origin

Fafninter may be a portmanteau of Fafnir and winter.
