Trivia

  • Colarva uses a distorted version of Venipede's cry

Design origin

Colarva is based on a moth larva. It likely takes specific inspiration from the larva of the Pyrrharctia Isabella, or Isabella Tiger Moth. The larvae, also known as "wooly bears" due to their covering of bristles, are known to live in arctic regions and freeze solid during the winter only to thaw out and pupate in the spring.

Name origin

Colarva's name comes from the words cold and larva.
