A Pokémon said to be the product of genetic testing. The white spot on its back is its weak point.
Biology
Physiology
Chimical are a small feline Pokémon with a body covered in red fur, small purple wings on its back with a white spot in between, and a scaly green tail with a snake's head on the end. Its mouth is full of sharp teeth.
Gender Differences
None.
Special abilities
Chimical are able to inject a mild toxin from the bites of the snake on their tail. They can also breathe fire. However, they cannot fly because their wings are too small to hold their weight.
Behavior
Chimical are playful Pokémon. They enjoy stalking prey and pouncing, then letting it go free and chasing after it again. Their poisonous nature means that they don't make good house pets, though.
Habitat
Chimical are somewhat rare and are mainly found on the slopes of Mt. Actinite.
Chimical's line was originally planned to contain a mid-stage evolution named Ultichim. However, it went unused.
Design origin
Chimical is based on a chimera, a creature from Greek mythology that combines elements of a lion, goat, and snake. It specifically draws inspiration from the "Ultimate Chimera" from Mother 3, which shares several design choices, including a weakness on the back, bat wings, and a red body.
Name origin
Chimical's name comes from "chimera" and "chemical".
