Absorb is an offensive Grass-type move.

Effect[]

Absorb heals the user for half the damage it deals (rounded down), unless the target has the Liquid Ooze ability, in which case the user will lose health instead.

If this attack deals 1 HP of damage, 1 HP will be restored to the user. If it is used against a substitute Absorb will heal the user when damaging it.

Absorb cannot be used if the user is under the effects of Heal Block.
If the user is holding a Big Root, the HP restored is increased by 30% (restoring HP 65% of the damage dealt). Big Root does not increase the damage dealt.
